Moot Court Civil Law 2024: DSC team secures 3rd place

10 June 2024

On June 7, 2024, the national final of the Franz von Zeiller Moot Court in civil law took place in the jury courtroom of the Salzburg Regional Court. In the competition, young lawyers compete against each other in fictitious court hearings and try to convince the “Supreme Moot Court” of their legal opinion in the third instance. Each participating law faculty in Austria (Vienna University of Economics and Business, University of Vienna, University of Graz, University of Linz, University of Innsbruck and Paris Lodron University Salzburg) sends the best team from the respective preliminary round. This year's panel of judges is once again top-class and includes the President of the Supreme Court
Prof. Dr. Georg Kodek, LL.M., Prof. Dr. Andreas Kletečka and the lawyer Dr. Madeleine Danner, LL.M.

The DSC team, consisting of David Sommerlechner, Tamara Hacker and Sophie von der Thannen, secured the 3rd place. The young talents were supported by DSC lawyer Alexander Grau.

We would like to congratulate our team on this outstanding achievement and thank all the organizers, coaches and participants for making the event such a success.
