The Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU Vienna) has awarded Christoph Diregger, partner at DSC Doralt Seist Csoklich, an honorary professorship in Civil and Corporate Law on May 26, 2026.
By awarding the honorary professorship, WU Vienna recognizes Christoph Diregger’s longstanding academic work and his contribution to bridging academic teaching and legal practice. Christoph Diregger has been teaching at WU Vienna for more than 20 years. He is the author of numerous specialist publications and contributions to renowned legal commentaries and reference works. In legal practice, he is regarded as one of Austria’s leading experts at the intersection of corporate and company law, capital markets law, and financing transactions.
Recognition of Outstanding Academic Achievement
The honorary professorship not only highlights Christoph Diregger’s professional expertise, but also recognizes his outstanding academic achievements and his continuous engagement with key issues of civil and corporate law in research, teaching, and legal practice.
“The connection between academia and practice has always been a central part of my professional work. I am therefore particularly delighted to receive this distinction from WU Vienna, with which I have enjoyed a close relationship for many years,” says Christoph Diregger.
The DSC partner has served as a university lecturer at the Institute for Civil, Commercial and Securities Law at WU Vienna since 2008. Prior to that, he worked as a university assistant at the Institute for Civil and Corporate Law as well as at the Institute for Civil, Commercial and Securities Law at WU Vienna. In addition, he is a lecturer at the Austrian Lawyers’ Academy. His regular publications include contributions to the renowned Münchener Kommentar zum Aktiengesetz (Munich Commentary on the German Stock Corporation Act). His legal expertise has also been recognized for years by leading legal rankings such as Chambers, The Legal 500, and JUVE.
