Nina Mitterdorfer and Fabian Liebel took a close look at one of the most controversial topics of the year.
The Gruft acts as a care facility for homeless people in Vienna and offers them advice and support, but above all a safe haven and a sympathetic ear. And it has been doing so for over 30 years, 365 days a year, all around the clock! In the project "Kochen für die Gruft", volunteers can lend a hand and actively help by preparing and serving a meal. The most important ingredient: a desire to cook.
This week, five of our employees were cooking at the Caritas Gruft again. Our team was responsible for preparing and serving a warm meal to around 150 homeless people. They cooked and enjoyed napkin dumplings in mushroom sauce or chicken schnitzel and semolina boil with cinnamon sour cherries.
We are happy to be able to help with this great project and to make a small contribution to the important work of Caritas.
