Nina Mitterdorfer and Fabian Liebel took a close look at one of the most controversial topics of the year.
The "Gruft", one of Vienna's best-known Caritas facilities, has been offering homeless people a safe haven and human warmth for over 30 years. In the project "Cooking for the Gruft", volunteers can lend a hand and actively help by preparing and serving a meal. The most important ingredient: a passion for cooking.
Last week, our team – David Tritremmel, Sabine Deutsch, Christiane Hrachowina, Martin Legath and Florian Prändl – prepared Chili Con and Sin Carne as well as Apple Cinnamon Rice Pudding for about 150 people in need.
We are very proud to have made a small contribution to the great work of Caritas and look forward to soon cook at the Caritas "Gruft" again.
