about Marielena Plieseis

Marielena Plieseis is an associate at DSC. Her work focuses on warranty and damages law, construction law, general civil law and public procurement law.

During her diploma studies, Marielena Plieseis worked as a student assistant at several institutes (Civil Law, Civil Procedure Law and Corporate Law) at the University of Graz and spent a semester abroad at Université Lumière Lyon 2 in France.

After graduating, she worked as a university assistant at the Institute for Civil Law, Foreign Private Law and Private International Law of the University of Graz at the chair of o.Univ.-Prof. Dr. Peter Bydlinski as well as an editorial assistant for the “KBB”, a commentary on the Austrian Civil Code, in its 6th edition.

Before joining DSC, Marielena Plieseis was a research assistant in a law firm in Upper Austria.

Her dissertation on late payment interest was published by Manz in 2022 and received several awards.
